Day Care

A structured program focusing on the mind and body

Dog Day Care

Our balanced approach ensures that your pet receives the best possible care

Not spending as much time as you’d like with your pet? Don’t let your busy schedule interfere with your furry friend’s well-being. Give the care and attention they deserve by taking advantage of our award winning services.

I created our daycare program from the ground up to focus on providing a healthy balanced experience for our guests, as a certified Trainer (CPDT-KA) and behaviorist (CBCC-KA) I wanted to create a program that was going to provided an amazing experience for our guests, one that actually takes into account their wants and needs. Our program is divide into two sections, active play and active rest, each lasting around 45 minutes and constantly cycled between throughout the day. Active play is where were our guests have the opportunity to burn off some of their energy in which ever way they prefer, some guests love group play, others prefer a nice quiet walk and some love nose work. The idea is to provide a physically stimulating experience to get their blood pumping and their body moving! Active rest takes place right after active play and this is a time where we bring the heart rate back down and relax in their own private room. Active rest is extremely important for the health and well being of our guests as it helps them to control their emotions better by providing them a chance to cool off between play sessions, it also allows for some brain work to take place if our guests so choose in the form of puzzle toys.

It is so nice to see how much love the staff have for these animals! Our rescue dog was very nervous around new people and new places, so The Place 4 Paws had her come up for regular play dates and get-to-know-us visits in the weeks before her first overnight stay - and it made such a difference to her and to us too! We know she's in great hands and she gets soooo excited the moment we turn off the highway onto the gravel road. Thanks Place 4 Paws!!!!
